The Show Your Tongue International School of Scriptwriting has significantly influenced the development of scriptwriting in Slovenia through workshops, lectures and script doctoring by eminent film directors, scriptwriters and actors. Founded by the Open Society Institute in 1997 and developed through practical work and projects, since 2000 it continued its mission as a part of the Myra Locatelli Cultural Association programme. In 2007 the course was organised within the Kino Otok - Isola Cinema Festival.

The Show Your Tongue International School of Scriptwriting involved eminent guest like Dušan Makavejev, Krzysztof Piesiewicz, Mirko Kovač, Abdulah Sidran, Rajko Grlić, Srdjan Karanović, Lordan Zafranović, Erland Josephson, Davor Janjić, Suso Cecchi D'Amico, Yvette Bíró, Dick Ross, David Gothard, Krzysztof Zanussi, etc.

Since 2000 Myra Locatelli Cultural Association has expanded its programmes to cover the field of digital film, organising workshops, mentoring, script doctoring, and translation services. The annual school organises pitching for Slovene producers and tries to bring participants with their scripts to various advanced European workshops. Partners of the school have included the Slovenian Film Centre and the Nova Gorica Grammar School. Workshops for the 10th anniversary "Show Your Tongue" took place during the Kino Otok - Isola Cinema Festival in Izola in May 2007.

In the 90s the workshops took place in Trenta in the Soča River valley, later on in the little village of Volče as well as in Ljubljana and Izola.

The Myra Locatelli Cultural Association has co-operated with the nearby Kinoatelje, Gorizia-Gorica and with other cross-border cultural associations. Its network of international connections offers a fine choice of participants and mentors, with relatively new approaches to creation. Participants are also encouraged to work with alternative institutions as mentors.
