Camerata Labacensis is a chamber orchestra founded in 1980, which consists primarily of soloists from the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra. The first Artistic Director of the orchestra was Anton Nanut. Their repertoire consists of compositions from all music periods. The orchestra recently participated in Funk & Latin Jazz in Film Town, a vocal-instrumental project by Rok Golob, and worked on the project Love Tango at the Salzburg Land Theatre in Austria. Since the 1990s Camerata Labacensis has regularly cooperated with the Silent Film Festival in Pordenone and has recorded its interpretation of film music on several CDs. Camerata Labacensis has also accompanied the five and a half hour-long silent film Napoleon by Abel Gance.

In 2008 the orchestra was hosted by the Ljubljana Festival held during the summer months. The orchestra's present director Franc Avsenek teaches at the Academy of Music at the University of Ljubljana and was awarded with the Betetto Award for achievements in musical art.
