The Stražna Krajina Ethnological and Historical Collection was established in 1997 through an initiative of the Institute for the Culture of the Hungarian Community of Lendava and the Hungarian National Community of the municipality of Hodoš-Šalovci. Supported by the Murska Sobota Regional Museum, the project received professional assistance from the Savaria Museum in Szombathely-Sombotel and the Raba Museum in Kormend.

Housed in a former distillery building, the collection depicts the history of the Hungarian national community in this area, featuring over 500 exhibits collected from abandoned houses of multicultural origin. Permanent exhibitions include an authentic turn-of-the-century kitchen, the history of the settlement of Stražna krajina, ethnographic objects, the so-called 'carving room' and an old apiary.
