The Golden Coin of Poetry was introduced in 2005 within the framework of the Veronika Award ceremony to commemorate a lifetime contribution to Slovene poetry. It is presented by the company Fit media.

The most recent winners are: Tone Kuntner in 2014, Niko Grafenauer in 2013, and Svetlana Makarovič in 2012.
