The [[Večernica Award]] is an award given to best new literary work for young readers published by a Slovenian publishing house or author in the previous year. It has been presented each year since [[established::1997]] by the [[Večer Newspaper]] Publishing Company, traditionally at the [[Eye of the Word Festival]] in Murska Sobota in autumn.
