This foundation was established in March 2000 by Dr Bruno Breschi from Italy and the Slovene Academy of Sciences and Arts (SAZU) with the aim of preserving old Slovene literary works. The Dr Bruno Breschi Foundation promotes the evaluation and thorough research of older works from the Slovene literary heritage, maintains traditional cultural values, and promotes the co-existence and understanding of neighbouring nations. In collaboration with the Philology and Literary Departments of ZRC Publishing, the Dr Bruno Breschi Foundation has published the works of Baroque authors and Catholic preachers Janez Svetokriški (Joannes Baptista à Sancta Cruce Vippacensi), three books on Rogerius of Ljubljana (1667-1728), works by philologist Marko Pohlin and the "History of Slovenian Literature" by the linguist Karel Štrekelj.
