Opening of the exhibition "Lygophilia Aquatic Life - Lygophila Vodno Življenje" by artist and researcher Robertina Šebjanič, who in her work investigates the biological, geopolitical and cultural reality and the influence of humans on other organisms. The exhibition is held as part of the platform "More Than Human. Shaping After the Anthropocene" until 12. 1. 2025. Supported by SKICA Berlin, Slovenian Cultural Centre and Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia Berlin.

Slovenian Days 2024 will be celebrated with a series of educational and entertaining cultural events for all ages. These events are brought to you by the Consulate General of the Republic of Slovenia in Cleveland, Ohio, along with many partners within the Slovenian community. All events are open to the public, and guests of all ages are welcome. Events will include a concert by Oktet Jurij Dalmatin; presentation of the exhibition "Us and Them Without Frontiers"; Reflections in the Slovenian Cultural Garden; Dedication of the Sister Cities Flags, Centennial celebration of Cleveland's Slovenian National Home, and many others.

During the Vienna Design Week, two Slovenian group exhibitions will be held. The first exhibition, titled "VODA - WATER" covers designs inspired by water. It features designs by Softbaroque, Tanja Pak, Lara Bohinc, Hana Tavčar, Darja Malešič, David Tavčar, Rok Oblak, Nika Zupanc, Izadora Verlič, Prapra, Pjorkkala, Raketa, Goat Story and Kolpasan. The second exhibition "Crafting Futures" deals with the current topic of connecting modern design production with the rich heritage of handicrafts. It features designs by Rok Oblak, Luka Pleskovič, Darja Maleščič, Maruša Mazej, Pjorkkala, Andraž Rudi Vrhovšek, Lucija Perko, Lara Baler, Boris Ouček, Nina Vastl Štefe, Luka Bernik and Črt Štrubelj. A whole day opening programe and a round table will be held on Saturday, 21. of September. Supported by Slovenian Culture and Information Centre, Vienna (SKICA) in cooperation with Design Corner Ljubljana and Center for Creativity.

The tank from the Ten-Day War in Slovenia (1991) in front of the National Museum of Contemporary History. On the eve of the International Women's Day in 2012 it was sprayed pink by the unknown activists and became a new popular landmark in Ljubljana. It is owned by the Military Museum of Slovenian Armed Forces and was transferred to the Park of Military History Pivka only a few months after the action. The pink paint was removed.
