Established in [[established::1945]], [[DZS]] Publishing House is a company with more than 60 years of experience in publishing. It runs several bookstores throughout Slovenia, with bigger centres in all Slovene major cities and smaller ones in numerous other towns.

In addition to various book materials, its publishing programme primarily features textbooks, dictionaries, lexicons, manuals, and educational literature. DZS bookstores also offer stationery and other school supplies; they are particularly well known for the ''Akta'' series, which includes folders, calendars, and other assorted office supplies. They launched and maintain the educational portal ''Vedež'', providing resources for independent learning for pupils and invaluable information and ideas for enriching classes for teachers. In addition, the company's online bilingual dictionaries are an important part of its activities. Their entire offer is available for purchase online on their website.

The publisher of the daily newspaper ''[[Dnevnik]]'' is also part of the DZS Group.
