Karbiduka Youth Festival was launched in 2001 in Zagorje as a joint project by various student centres from the Zasavje region: ŠKLAB, Klub zasavskih studentov from Zagorje; KNAP Cultural Artistic Association; ŠOHT Student Organisation Hrastnik Club B; and Trbovlje Students’ and Pupils’ Club; along with some other local organisations. The festival took place in Trbovlje in 2002 and in Hrastnik in 2003.

The festival features concerts of alternative music by emerging groups, a traditional pool party, computer workshops for children, cartoons, animation and a range of art creativity workshops. Accompanying sports events include a street ball, skating, boulder and roller hockey and pyrotechnics shows.
