From 1965 until the end of the 1990s, Obzorje Publishing House in Maribor issued the well-known cultural journal Dialogi. Then in 1998 Aristej Publishing House took it over, publishing a new version of the periodical in the form of the monthly Dialogi, Journal for Culture and Society. Today the journal presents new literature as well as articles on arts and culture and social and political sciences. It is published in Slovenian with abstracts in English.

Each issue of the magazine is devoted to a certain central topic, the previous topics included the dilemma of copyright or the phenomenon of urban culture. The magazine includes a special section for literature and a section for reviews of books, films, and theatre. The diary pages are devoted to thoughts of artists, cultural workers, and writers.

Eurozine network

Dialogi is a partner journal in Eurozine, a network of more than 75 European cultural journals. The table of contents of each issue of Dialogi journal is listed on the Eurozine website. Eurozine publishes selected articles from the publications of its partners as well as translations of those articles into one of the major European languages. Dialogi and Sodobnost are currently the only Slovene periodicals in the Eurozine network.
