The beginnings of the Domžale Youth Centre date back to 1995; it was formally established as a public institute in 1998 by the Municipality of Domžale.
. The centre runs various cultural, educational and recreational activities, exhibitions, panel discussions, creative workshops and events for youth and parents as well as counsel and support with life skills learning, non-formal education, awareness-raising and addiction prevention.
International cooperation
Domžale Youth Centre promotes engaging in international and intercultural exchange and volunteering work and is frequently cooperating with various Slovenian and international youth organizations. It runs various youth exchange activities and since 2015 it is part of Erasmus+ programme, European Voluntary Service project and is also member of the Eurodesk network. From 2009 to 2011 the Domžale Youth Centre was running an international project Biblioterapija (Bibliotherapy) with partner organisations from Poland.
