Established in 2003, the Faculty of Arts Bookshop offers the publications of the Faculty of Arts either on location or online, where a complete catalogue of the publications can be found, as well as in bookshops across Slovenia and in neighbouring countries with Slovenian minorities.

Book sales and campaigns

As of 2008 the bookshop is an independent organisational unit, and cooperates with the Academic Publishing Division of the Faculty of Arts with a view to organising and promoting book sales. It organises promotional campaigns such as press conferences and fairs with which it importantly contributes to the promotion and recognition of the scientific and pedagogical work of the academic staff of the Faculty of Arts.

International cooperation

In addition, the bookshop is also a venue for various cultural events featuring guests from Slovenia and abroad. A number of events such as literary panels, recitals, debate clubs, and exhibitions have been organised under the moniker Word Station [Besedna postaja] and aired via the VideoLectures.Net channel.

The bookshop was also the initiator of the all-Slovene academic book fair Liber.ac, which was held for the first time in 2010, when Ljubljana was the host city of the World Book Capital.
