In 2015, the [[Slovene Association of Cinematographers]] introduced an award for the best achievements in the art and science of film photography, the [[Iris Award]]. Directors of photography compete on an annual basis and in several categories: Long-feature Film, Short Film, Documentary, Student Film, Animation, and the Lifetime Achievement Award.
