It's a challenge to pin down the musical expression of [[Karmakoma]], a band equally grounded in electro synths and four-to-the-floor rhythms as well as in psychedelic rock and post-punk legacies. Formed in [[established::2011]], it is currently an expandable two-piece collective consisting of [[Enej Mavsar]] (also known from the band [[The Lift]]) and [[Benjamin Kovač]]. Though often touching the musical dimensions of club electronics, the band nevertheless boasts a raw rock performance onstage.

==Gigs and releases==

Before releasing their first album, ''Imagination & Mechanical Metamorphoses'' on [[ZARŠ Records]] in 2014, Karmakoma played in just about every Slovenian club and warmed up stages for bands such as The War on Drugs and Wampire. With the release of the début, they embarked on a tour across the ex-Yugoslavia region, where they visited Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia. Soon, this was followed by a cross European tour that included the clubs Fluc and Postgarage (AT), Dublin Castle (UK), Le Parapluie National, L’Escalier and Mons (BE).

Karmakoma also shared the stage with Electro Guzzi (AT) at [[Lent Festival]], were invited to perform at [[Kamfest]], [[TRESK Festival]] and [[MENT Ljubljana]] and were a part of the Dvocikel project, produced by [[Layer House]].
