The [[LUD Literatura]] (LUD stands for Literary Artistic Association) was established in [[established::1989]] to publish the newly autonomous ''[[Literatura Magazine]]''. In the following year the association also began publishing books. LUD Literature publishes printed and online magazine, several book collections and organizes literary events.

==Books==
Collections published by the association since 1990 comprise: ''Novi pristopi'' [New Approaches], which features fresh contributions to Slovene literary theory and criticism, and philosophy of art; ''Prišleki''[Newcomers], bringing together both aspiring and acclaimed Slovene poetry and fiction authors; ''Stopinje'' [Footsteps], affording space to foreign short fiction in translation; and ''Labirinti'' [Labyrinths] including translations of such literary theory, aesthetics, and philosophy of art classics as Jorge Luis Borges, Gilles Deleuze, Paul de Man, and Mikhail Bakhtin. 

The association has also published various short stories by Slovene authors, including ''Noč v Ljubljani'' [A Night in Ljubljana], a collection of stories that chronicle the historic event when James Joyce spent a night at the Ljubljana railway station.

==Events==
The Literatura Association also hosts an array of events and talks related to literature, creative writing and literary criticism workshops, and poetry slams. 

On the occasion of the [[World Book Capital Ljubljana 2010|World Book Capital Ljubljana 2010]] the association organised a radio playwriting workshop that took place from September 2010 to March 2011.
