The first issue of the ''[[Linguistica Journal]]'' came out in [[established::1955]] as a supplement to ''[[Slavistična revija|Slavistična revija, Journal for Linguistics and Literary Studies]]''. Since 1958, ''Linguistica'' has been published as an independent journal, covering a broad spectrum of investigations into linguistics. 

The journal encourages research into Romanic, Slavic and Germanic languages. The contents of issues published since 1994 are available online at the [[Faculty of Arts Bookshop|Faculty of Arts bookshop]] website.
