Officially established in [[Established::1999]], the [[Nova Ljubljanska banka (NLB) Art Collection]] contains around 1,700 high-quality art works of significant 20th-century and contemporary Slovene artists. Already before the collection was officially established, the NLB had been collecting art works, but since 1999 its further selection and systematisation of the work has been done by art historian and critic [[Stane Bernik]] in cooperation with the board of advisors ([[Milček Komelj]] and [[Lojze Logar]]).

==Presentation==
Works of the Nova Ljubljanska banka (NLB) Art Collection primarily adorn the spaces of the NLB headquarters in Ljubljana and other branch offices around Slovenia. Between 2000 and 2004 the collection was publicly presented on 10 curated exhibitions that took place in the [[Avla NLB Gallery, Ljubljana]]. Each of those exhibitions represented the works acquired in chosen calendar year(s). Some exhibitions focused on a selected phenomenon like the 10th presentation which featured a selection of NLB's sculpture acquisitions and included works by [[Lojze Dolinar]] and [[Zdenko Kalin]], representing the older generation, and [[Mirsad Begić]], [[Matjaž Počivavšek]], [[Mojca Smerdu]], [[Lujo Vodopivec]], [[Boris Zaplatil]], and others, representing established and actively productive artists. These exhibitions were also presented in other Slovene galleries, such as the [[Maribor Art Gallery]]. 

==Artists==
Almost all visible Slovene artists are part of the NLB Art Collection; including the early works of nowadays established artists of the youngest generation as [[Miha Štrukelj]], [[Sašo Vrabič]], and [[Žiga Kariž]]. A catalogue in pdf format and a presentation of the artists and their work is available on the NLB website.
