In addition to its general education programmes, the [[Pre-School Education and Grammar School, Ljubljana]] introduced in 1999 a four-year programme in contemporary dance (module B) as its Art Grammar School programme. This is the only programme of this kind in Slovenia. The professional and practical part of the programme was conceived by [[Maja Delak]] (see [[Emanat Institute]]) From 1999 to 2009/10 it was led by Delak, from 2010/11, it has been led by Petra Pikalo. Previous knowledge of dance skills is not obligatory for entering the programme, however, pupils should pass an entry exam where their talent and movement capacities are tested. The programme has already proved successful, as some graduate pupils have continued their dance education at international dance academies and universities.

In addition to regular secondary education subjects, the programme includes practical training (classical ballet, contemporary techniques, and choreographic work), history of dance and performing arts, and a class in practical anatomy. The programme's lecturers are renowned Slovene and international pedagogues and dance makers. Each year, the pupils present their work at final productions, titled Pre-Premières, which have recently been held in [[Stara Elektrarna - Old Power Station]] and [[Španski borci Culture Centre]] and produced by [[Emanat Institute]]. The programme's students also appear in [[Transgenerations Festival of Youth Creativity]] and at the annual competition of young Slovene dancers and choreographers "Opus", organised by the [[Public Fund for Cultural Activities of the Republic of Slovenia]]. 

In the study year 2010/2011, the Pre-School Education and Grammar School, Ljubljana launched a drama-theatre programme.
