Established in July [[established::2007]] and located in the oldest street of medieval Ptuj, the [[Salon of Art]], focused on the contemporary arts, is the youngest space of the [[Ptuj – Ormož Regional Museum]]. It annually features up to six exhibitions. Group exhibitions often correspond to the programme in the [[Mihelič Gallery, Ptuj|Mihelič Gallery]]. 

At first, the Salon of Art was dedicated to solo exhibitions of local artists, but since 2009 it also features the work of international contemporary artists, invited in collaboration with the [[Art Stays Cultural Association]].

==Exhibitions==
The first exhibition showcased the painters of the 20th century from Ptuj including artworks by [[France Mihelič]], [[Janez Šibila]], [[Albin Lugarič]], [[Dušan Kirbiš]], [[Dušan Fišer]], and [[Viktor Rebernak]], the following exhibition presented the [[Talum Art Collection]]. 

In past years, the gallery has exhibited sculptures by [[Vlasta Zorko]] and ceramic sculptures of [[Gaja Kobav]]. In 2011 the Salon of Art presented the cycle of 8 tapestries by [[Marij Pregelj]], designed in 1966 and restored by the [[Ptuj – Ormož Regional Museum]]. Among artists presented in recent years are members of the Kasimir Oeltjen family, [[Srdan Mohorič]] and others.
