The [[Slovenian Authors' Society (ZAMP)]] was founded in [[established::1996]] for collective management of authorship rights of written works in the field of literature, science, publications, theatre works and their translations. In accordance with Slovene Authorship law and international conventions, the means are collected within two sections: the Slovenian Authors' Society (ZAMP) and ZAMP Authors' Company Ltd.

Authors can join the Slovenian Authors' Society voluntarily by signing an agreement. In order to support the members of the society to claim their rights, samples of authorship contracts and a recommended price list are accessible at the ZAMP website. In 2007 the society had 706 full members, mostly writers, translators, and university professors.  

== International and institutional collaboration ==

The society manages authorship rights in the territory of Slovenia only and collaborates with several Slovenian organisations and societies: the [[Slovene Writers’ Association]], the [[Slovenian Association of Literary Translators]], the Society of University Professors, and the [[Slovenian Intellectual Property Office (SIPO)]]. 

In 2003 the society co-founded the [[Slovenian Organization of Authors and Publishers for Reproduction Rights (SAZOR)]].

The society is a provisional member of the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC).
