TV Maribor is the television programme unit of the RTV Slovenia Regional Broadcasting Centre Maribor. The TV unit produces its own programme contents but also functions as a regional correspondent for Radio-Television Slovenia (RTV Slovenia). The unit was established in 1968 and represents the regional TV channel with the highest audience share.





Arts and culture programming

The broadcast programme covers local, regional and international news and news reports. It also produces TV shows for the two national TV channels, TV Slovenia 1 and TV Slovenia 2. The focus of the cultural programming is the city of Maribor with its surroundings. The weekly TV show Herald [Glasnik] follows the latest news in culture and produces reports from the exhibition openings, theatre plays, lectures and public readings. The show Traces [Sledi], produced together with TV Koper-Capodistria and RTV Slovenia, covers amateur and folk art from all the Slovene regions.
