The Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Dublin is the official representative body of the Slovene Government in Ireland. It was reopened in the year 2020.

The Embassy promotes close bilateral political, economic and cultural relations between Slovenia and Ireland, offers consular assistance to Slovenian citizens in Ireland and provides information on Slovenia to the citizens of Ireland.

    Background

In 2012 the Embassy of Slovenia in Dublin was closed by the Government of the Republic of Slovenia due to economic crisis. In the period 2012–2020, diplomatic representation of Slovenia for Ireland was assumed by the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in London, based on the consent of the Irish Government.
