The Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Slovenia provides consular, commercial and cultural services. Consular affairs consist of providing information and assistance to Bulgarian citizens residing in or visiting Slovenia, and visa services.

The embassy supports cultural links between Bulgaria and Slovenia. The Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria on Co-operation in the Fields of Education, Culture and Science was signed in Ljubljana in 1994.
