Gea College, established in 1996, is a managerial academy which offers a wide range of courses in Entrepreneurship, including an undergraduate programme that is open to international students. In order to obtain the specialist degree in Entrepreneurship, students have to complete the six required courses, four electives and diploma work. For students from a non-economic background, there are two required elective courses: ‘Marketing within Enterprise and Management’ and ‘Commercial and Labour Law in the European Union’. As a managerial academy offering short term management courses, it provides knowledge to many top management people from non-profit fields like health care, pharmacy, sport, employment, ecology and also culture. Within the framework of management programmes the GEA collaborates with the Development Corporation of Slovenia, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Labour, Family and Social Affairs. GEA assists business with company restructuring and also advises companies how to carry out reorganisation projects. For middle-sized and big companies GEA has developed special management programmes in the fields of finance, accounting, human resources and engineering.
