The Institute of Information Sciences Library is a specialised library which was founded in 1989 at the Computer Centre of Maribor University.

The library’s collection mostly comprises books from the fields of information science, librarianship, computer science, economy and engineering, and numerous periodicals. The material is accessible to users in the reading room or by way of interlibrary loan.

The Institute of Information Sciences Library engages in interlibrary exchange with the British Library Document Supply Centre and the Subito Centre, Germany. IZUM is a member of both IFLA and ALA.
