Established in Ajdovščina in 2003 as a visual arts and design centre, Lična hiša Gallery (Ličen House Gallery) is led by designers Polona Kunaver Ličen and David Ličen. Operating as both a studio as well as a commercial gallery for art prints and paintings by the owners, Lična hisa also organises various visual arts events for ceramics, miniature books, jewellery and handmade toys. Throughout the year, workshops for children, youth and adults are organised on the ground floor, primarily preparatory courses for the Academy of Fine Arts and Design entrance exams. On the upper floor, the gallery space is open for exhibitions of selected local and international artists.
In addition to its gallery programme, Lična hiša organises various cultural events, lectures and music festivals dedicated to the young singing talents of the Goriška region.
