The Slovenian Exiles Association 1941-1945 (also known as the Association of Slovenian Deportees) represents and supports citizens forcibly removed from their homes by occupying Axis powers during World War II. Established in [established::1991]], it seeks compensation, preserves memory of the deportations, and maintains an information center in Ljubljana

Mission

The association was founded to support the roughly 220,000–260,000 Slovenians slated for deportation or forced labor by German occupation forces between 1941 and 1945, helping them secure compensation and recognition of their rights.

Activities

It organises commemorations, manages archives, and publishes material on the suffering of deported Slovenes, including documentation of camps and the experiences of "stolen children". It heavily advocates for compensation for war damage and injustices suffered, often urging the Slovenian government to pursue claims against Germany for wartime losses.

International cooperation

The society is active within the International Committee of Exiles and Refugees, Victims of Fascism and Nazism (1920–1945).
