The Če Povem Festival was founded in 2019 by the cultural and artistic association Če Povem 83. It takes place annually in the village of Čepovan, near the Italian-Slovene border. With resistance as its central theme, the programme features various discussions, book presentations, guided walks, and other events related to social critique and activism. In addition, the festival also offers a range of activities for children. In the evenings, the programme usually concludes with concerts, mostly featuring folk and world music bands. Another important aspect of the festival is its cross-border identity, as it brings together both Slovene and Italian participants. In 2025, the festival was part of the Nova Gorica–Gorizia - European Capital of Culture 2025 project.
