Docomomo International (DOcumentation and COnservation of MOdern MOvement) is a non-profit organisation initiated in 1988 by two Dutch architects, professors and researchers. It has been run since 2002 by Cite de l'architecture et du patrimoine in Paris. Docomomo International is an international working party for documentation and conservation of buildings, sites and neighbourhoods of the modern movement. It brings together historians, architects, town planners, landscape architects, conservationists, teachers, students and public officials in order to exchange ideas relating to conservation technology, history and education, to foster interest in the ideas and heritage of the modern movement and to increase responsibility towards our recent architectural inheritance. At present Docomomo International includes 52 working parties and more than 2,000 members, from Europe to Japan and from Australia to North and South America.
Its Slovene representative office is Docomomo Slovenia, hosted by the Association of Slovene Conservators.
