The Slovenian Banking Museum, founded by NLB bank in 2021, is dedicated to preserving and presenting banking heritage, particularly the Slovenian banking heritage from 1820 to the present day. Through various artefacts including protocol and jubilee documents, books and albums, account reports, savings booklets, ledgers, interest rate tables, forms, and piggybanks, visitors can learn about the history of Slovenian banking and all the different currencies that were in use in the territory of present-time Slovenia. Another prominent part of the museum is the “financial labyrinth”: an interactive experience that tests the visitors’ financial literacy. The museum collections are complemented by guided tours and financial workshops for both young and adult audiences.
