The European Museum of Roma Culture and History, founded in 2012 in Murska Sobota, was originally situated in the Hotel Zvezda complex. In 2026, it was relocated to a new and more prominent location in the center of Murska Sobota – in that way, Roma culture and history were placed in the center of public attention. The museum is dedicated to preserving, researching, and presenting the rich history, language, traditions, and arts of the Roma people, as well as their contribution to the development of European society. It offers an insight into a wide range of topics, such as Roma music, traditional Roma clothing, the crafts that Roma people were historically associated with, and more.
