Hugo Wolf (1860–1903), an eminent composer of Romantic German Lieder, was born in Slovenj Gradec, a part of Lower Styria in 1860. Wolf composed his greatest works in Austria, thus becoming a key figure featured in the Slovenian-Austrian Year of Neighbourhood Dialogue 2019–2020.
