The Residency Programme for Literary Intermediaries, established by the Slovene Writers' Association, is intended for international translators, publishers and literary agents that are actively contributing to the recognition of Slovenian literary texts. The programme takes place in Ljubljana, in the apartment that used to belong to Dane Zajc, one of the most prominent Slovenian poets and dramatists of the 20th century.

Conditions of the programme

The duration of the programme is 2-3 weeks. The programme includes free accommodation while other expenses have to be paid by the residents themselves. The candidates for the residency can apply through an open call and have to submit a feasible work plan. During their stay, they have to participate in a literary event and to create a short text about the experience of the residency. The organiser, on the other hand, arranges meetings with Slovenian authors and organises a public presentation of the resident.
