Projects
The group has made two significant contributions to Slovenia's rich ongoing history of innovative industrial design: the YO lounge chair, which won Avsec a Silver A'Design Award in Milan in 2013, and the LUNA footstool, designed by Avsec and Semolič and first presented in 2015. In July 2016 the group prepared the I Feel Design project in cooperation with architect Ana Gruden, which involved curating and equipping a Berlin apartment with Slovenian design products for public view. The event, promoted by the Slovenian Cultural Centre in Berlin and the Slovenian Embassy, was repeated in an expanded form in Ljubljana several months later under the title of Home of Slovenian Design (Dom slovenskega oblikovanja), with an occupied apartment being used in place of the pop-up format seen in Berlin.
