Xcenter is a multipurpose venue established in Nova Gorica in 2021 as part of the European Capital of Culture 2025 Nova Gorica - Gorizia. It acts as an accelerator of creativity at the crossroads of art and science and offers a variety of creative, intermedia, educational and scientific workshops for children and adults, educating them about new scientific knowledge and technological solutions that have an impact on individuals and society. Another set of activities is connected with the so-called e-house that offers interactive experiments, experimental rooms, robotics courses, e-house birthday parties and the Nova Gorica Festival of Science. Xcenter also includes a gallery which mostly showcases artworks dealing with a society imbued with technologies. In addition, Xcenter organizes lectures and presentations that are fostering critical reflection on a high-tech society.
