Since 1998 the contemporary world documentary film production has been featured annually in a special Spring session as an International Documentary Film Festival. Each year prizes are awarded at this festival.
From 26th March through 2nd April 2008 the 10th International Documentary Film Festival took place. Different programme sections presented the so-called problem, socially critical works, films about myths and icons of the present and the past, intimate portraits, as well as retrospectives of prominent Slovene and foreign documentarists.
Culture.si offers information on Slovene cultural producers, venues, festivals and support services, all in one place. It encourages international cultural exchange in the fields of arts, culture and heritage. The portal and its content is owned and funded by the Ministry of Culture, funded by the European Union Recovery and Resilience Plan and developed by Ljudmila Art and Science Laboratory.
