Hiše Awards 09 winners are House Twisted in Kyoto and Villa Röling on the outskirts of Amsterdam. The project House Twisted by Kentaro Takeguchi and Asako Yamamoto – Alphaville studio, Japan, won Hiše Award 09 for Innovative Excellence in Private Housing. Villa Röling by Architectenbureau Paul de Ruiter, Netherlands, won Hiše Award 09 for Sustainable Excellence in Private Housing.
The Hiše Awards 2010 event opens with 180˚ Stage, a series of challenging short talks on the theme What makes a good house?. The exhibition of world's greatest houses is placed in a beautiful surroundings in Ljubljana city centre – the riverfront Breg, renovated by Atelje Vozlič.
