The Slovene Brass Orchestra Union is the national association for Slovene brass orchestras, majorettes and other music groups. It was established as an independent union in 1997 and currently has 88 members and 10 new candidates. Since 1990 the Union has been a member of the International Society of Musicians (CISM), and through it is associated with UNESCO.
