Organised by Association of the Friends of Moderate Progress and MKC Koper Youth and Culture Centre since 2005, the Koperground Festival in Koper-Capodistria is a festival of independent and engaged international film, literature, performance and music. It takes place in the garden of the Koper Regional Museum, in the various locations in the city, and in the M&KC club.

The dense programme is accompanied by unorthodox workshops. In 2010 Marko A. Kovačič coached the workshop on Soft Terrorism and the Serbian artist Wostok held the workshop on comics.
