City Gallery, Ljubljana operates two gallery spaces at Bežigrad in northern Ljubljana - Bežigrajska galerija 1 opened in 1996 and the nearby Bežigrajska galerija 2 opened in 2002. The galleries have a specific exhibition programme and organise presentations of conceptual art, especially works on paper (visual poetry, comics, music notations, stage sets, puppetry sketches), works by younger contemporary artists, video works and intermedia arts.
