Litera has launched a series of non-profit, intellectual, essayistic and literary programmes based on criteria such as actuality, originality and aesthetics, alongside exclusively literary and local history publications. Since 2001 it has published more than 130 different publications, every year they publish from 25 to 30 titles.
The Litera book collections are: Piramida (contemporary Slovene literature), Babilon (contemporary world literature), Nova znamenja (humanities), Mladež (youth literature), From the antique world, and the 'Collected Works of Slovene Poets and Prose Writers.
In June 2007 Litera organised the Bistrica Literary Days festival called Spogledi at the Slovenska Bistrica Castle. So far, Litera is present at the many international book fairs (Ljubljana, Frankfurt, Prague, Belgrade, Pula and Tuzla).
