Opened in 2000 by Podlaga Youth Centre in an underground bunker in Sežana Municipality, MC Podlaga organises cultural programmes, offers consultation services and disseminates information activities, as well as providing rehearsal and performance facilities for local music groups. In recent years the venue has hosted many concerts (eg the UK Subs), performances, lectures, creative workshops, film evenings, presentations by local artists and exhibitions of comics and photography.
