In 2010 the gallery featured the latest work of Slovene artists of the youngest generation [[Urša Vidic]] and [[Meta Grgurovič]]: the exhibition Flowers are Inherently Disgusting, assuming statement of [[Slavoj Žižek]] from the film ''The Pervert's Guide to Cinema'' [Sprevrženčev vodnik po filmu, 2006] and showing the transformations of romantic icons and simulation of the intimate forms. In April 2010 the gallery cooperated with the [[SCCA-Ljubljana Centre for Contemporary Arts]] prepraring event of the intermedia exhibition, presentation of the SCCA servis platform and so including other events themed different topics of better production conditions in the field of art and culture. In the beginning of 2010 the gallery hosted also the exhibition of Swedish artist Conny Blom, whose art work subversive opens essential questions of the current society, existential conditions and rights of the individual towards the society and economy.

Established in 2007 in the space of the former City Museum of Ljubljana Cultural and Information Centre and managed by the Museum and Galleries of Ljubljana, the Vžigalica Gallery (Matchstick Gallery) is a venue for exhibitions, round-table discussions, lectures, and presentations reflecting predominantly the current art production.
