The [[Metod Badjura Award]] for lifetime achievement, launched in [[established::1995]] by the [[Association of Slovenian Filmmakers]], is the most important Slovene film award. It is bestowed annually on a selected Slovene film maker at the [[Festival of Slovenian Film]]. The award is named after the Slovene film director and cinematographer [[Metod Badjura]] who began producing professional documentaries during the 1930s.
