Since 1997 Slovene Book Days has taken place not only in Ljubljana but in other Slovene towns round Slovenia, for instance in Maribor where it is organised jointly with MKC Maribor) in Celje, Novo mesto and Koper.
In 2014 the 19th edition of the Slovene Book Days was organised in Ljubljana, Trst, Koper, Sežana, Logatec, Novo mesto, Celje, Maribor, Ormož, Lenart and Gornja Radgona (Negova Castle).
At the opening ceremony of Slovene Book Days, the winner of the Best Short Story Award is announced. Taking place during Slovene Book Days in Maribor is also the finale of the Poetry Tournament organised by Pivec Publishing House.
Culture.si offers information on Slovene cultural producers, venues, festivals and support services, all in one place. It encourages international cultural exchange in the fields of arts, culture and heritage. The portal and its content is owned and funded by the Ministry of Culture, funded by the European Union Recovery and Resilience Plan and developed by Ljudmila Art and Science Laboratory.
