Arheo Journal was launched for the first time in 1981 by the Archaeological Society of Slovenia in order to systematically cover the latest issues in archaeological science. The special editions of the journal included a independent publications on Archaeoastronomy (by Ivan Šprajc) and Ethnogenesis of the Slavs (by Andrej Pleterski). The archives of the old numbers are available online.
