From 1965 until the end of the 1990s, Obzorje Publishing House in Maribor issued the well-known cultural journal Dialogi, the second-oldest in Slovenia. In 1998, Aristej Publishing House took over publishing a new version of the periodical in the form of the monthly Dialogi, Journal for Culture and Society, presenting new literature as well as articles on arts and culture and social and political sciences.

Dialogi is published in Slovenian with abstracts in English. An online summary of the journal is also available in English.

Each issue of the journal is devoted to a certain central topic, mainly concerning pressing social and political issues. The magazine includes a special section for literature and a section for reviews of books, films and theatre. The diary pages are devoted to the thoughts of artists, cultural workers, and writers.

Eurozine network

Dialogi is a partner journal in Eurozine, a network of more than 75 European cultural journals. Each issue's table of content is listed on the Eurozine website. Eurozine publishes selected articles from the publications of its partners as well as translations of those articles into one of the major European languages.
