Established in 2021, the Innovato Institute for new technologies and communication is dedicated to creating meaningful societal impact through emerging technologies and new media. Its three core missions are to support extended reality tools for education and training, advance the digital transformation of culture, and foster civic engagement in the digital era.
One of its projects, developed in collaboration with Shape Studio and supported by the Creative Europe programme, is Wondercut – a web-based application that uses AI to enhance the museum and gallery experience, for example, by generating personalised AI portraits that blend visitors’ self-portraits with artworks from participating institutions.
