Innovato Institute for new technologies and communication, founded in 2021, is dedicated to creating meaningful societal impact by leveraging emerging technologies and new media. Its three key missions are supporting extended reality educational and training tools, achieving digital transformation of culture and fostering civic engagement in the digital era. One of its projects, developed in collaboration with the Shape studio and supported by Creative Europe programme, is Wondercut, a web-based app that uses AI to enrich the museum and gallery experience, for instance with personalized AI portraits that blend visitors’ self-portraits with artworks in the art institutions.
