The Slovenian Theatre Institute Library collects, arranges, and preserves material relating to the history of Slovene theatre and dramatic arts. It is divided into a book collection, a collection of theatre scripts performed in Slovenia's professional theatres, a collection of miscellaneous small publications and leaflets, and a comprehensive collection of the Library of the former Slovene Dramatic Society, which embraces prints and manuscripts of scripts (plays) from the first period of Slovene theatre. The library also prepares bibliographies for various museum publications.
