Regional development agency ROD Ajdovščina was established in 1999. Its mission is to support entrepreneurship, rural development, tourism, and environmental care in the Vipava Valley. To this end, the agency provides information on local and international funding calls, assists with application procedures, advises micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, organises regional meetings, and fosters cooperation across these sectors. It also participates in international projects.
One such initiative is GELATOn the ROAD, which aims to establish the first European Gelato Road, promoting and preserving local cultural heritage and identity.
